A Constellation of Entities Supporting the Industry

There are well over 250 associations, organizations, and agencies involved in the facilities and infrastructure industry supporting designers, contractors, and facility managers. There are relationships between many of them. The diagrams accessed by clicking on the image to the left will identify many of them. 

Each association, organization, and agency attempts to do good things to support its members. However, all these disparate efforts are not moving the nation forward in meeting national goals in a coordinated fashion. We need a focus on the national goals in order to make true progress. Hence, as work is being accomplished it should be put in terms of how the national goals are being advanced

It is also important that a baseline is established so that progress can be seen and measured.
